Volunteering for Southsea Sangha couldn’t be easier! It’s fun and inspiring, and a great way to deepen your spiritual practice.

Without the contribution of our volunteers, we could not offer the programs and classes we do or have done over the last seven years. Volunteering is the dana of service and supports us in taking our practice “off the cushion” and is a great way to meet other practitioners and have some fun!

We have a variety of volunteer positions, some of which can be done anywhere in the world, with access to the internet, and some of which require being on site at our events.

Our generous, talented volunteers are an important part of the heart of our community, and are all leaders in helping to make Southsea Sangha the vibrant, alternative and sustainable meditation community resource it is today.

Want To Volunteer?
The generosity of Volunteer-donated time, the dana of service, is the lifeblood of Southsea Sangha.

Can you join us in this practice of Dana (generous giving), by donating some of your time, skills and energy to help the community thrive and grow?

Community Treasurer

Our Community is looking for a new volunteer treasurer.

After several years in service, helping us grow our community, our current Treasure Lee is standing down. We express our deep appreciation to Lee for his service over the last couple of years.

Below is a summary outlining the current and some new responsibilities of this position.

We are looking for someone who;

  • Has experience in a similar role, (or is willing to learn)
  • Committed to social justice and building spiritual community
  • Ideally has experience with social movement spaces and organising communities
  • Enjoys working with others in an open and collaborative way
  • Although we are looking for someone in GMT or EST time zones, this role can be held remotely

We ask that you have an understanding of or are willing to learn more of the inequities and inequalities rooted in our society.

Someone who is committed to the personal and interpersonal work required to undo systems and behaviours of exclusivity and inequality, and see spiritual community and community building as a tool to meeting these goals.

We are looking for someone who is organised, comfortable working with numbers and has time and spirit to offer holding this role and joining the Sangha Committee.

You do not need to have an established meditation practice to apply or hold this role.

Please email southseasangha@gmail.com for more information or to submit your interest along with a CV summary, relating to relevant experience and personal and professional background

Deep Bow Everyone!
