Southsea Sangha is a non-profit community organisation, who holds its finances with the ethical banking group, Unity Trust Bank. The community is steered by committee and bound by a constitution which was created and formally agreed upon by our first committee in 2016.
The committee meets no less than 6 times a year, as bound by the constitution and has within it an elected chair, treasurer and secretary. As a non-profit community organisation, committed to removing barriers to inclusion, (including those of a financial kind), finances are always a challenge in the non-profit world.
Our intention is to support our community and be supported in a healthy and fiscally sound way. We are investigating ways of insuring that Southsea Sangha can continue to make the dharma available to all who are interested in accordance with our community values. We’re so grateful to everyone who has helped our community get where we are today.
