An evening with Noah Levine

  • Solent View Suite, Pyramids Centre Clarence Esplanade Southsea, PO5 3ST United Kingdom (map)

Southsea Sangha are extremely pleased to host an evening with Dharma Teacher, founder of Against The Stream Buddhist Meditation Society and Refuge Recovery and best selling author (Dharma Punx & Against the Stream) NOAH LEVINE.

Noah founded Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society in 2005, with their first centre in Hollywood in 2008 and now has centres in San Francisco, Santa Monica & Los Angeles and is affiliated with more than 20 groups across North America and Holland.

Known for his philosophical alignment with Buddhism and punk ideology and counter-culture, Noah is often cited as the instigator of the Dharma Punx movement. ATS & DP has helped clear the way for a new generation of contemplative activists, meditators and spiritual rebels, who feel disaffected with modern, individuated capitalist-centric society and whome Westernised Buddhist and meditating communities didn't accommodate their own alternative cultural perspectives.
